New Adventure ~ Gastonia

Still working for the job listed in my last post.  The job eventually turned full time and I remain at full time.  Good deal.  My location closed, so I have been transferred.  It's a new adventure.  I'm also thinking of picking up a few hours at another business, to help get rid of doctors bills and save for a wedding, all of which will be new adventures or adventures I've yet to write about.  So, in the next few days will elaborate on the things I simply touched on here.  Good to be back?

I Need.......

I have a terrible time at keeping up the blogs.  This one that was supposed to be for my journeys as I went through changes in my life, and the other one that I use to keep in touch with family, by posting pictures and what not.  Anyway, I haven't done either, and I don't really care.  The job that spoke of in my last post is going well, it is however part time.  Thus, I had to get a second job, and I still don't even come close to what I used to make.  Would I be happy with part time if I didn't have bills?  Most definately.  Would I like to chang other aspects of my life - you bet.  I need new journeys, I need strength, I need more spirituality and  less religion, I need to stop fearing the unknown, and I need to not let negative people bring me down....

Day two of training at my new job.  Yes, there, I said it - new job.  It is in a customer service field.  I do have to recommend services to the customers, but I do not have to hard sell them anything nor do I have to go in and re-merchandise stuff everyday.  Although I do kind of miss playing with merchandise, so I get my fix at Restore.  Anyway, this seems like a good fit and a place to grow, so happy Wednesday!

Linked In

Well, kids I've found myself back in computer class and today we are doing Linked In profiles.  This is something else new for me and kind of exciting.  I've been able to find so many of the people I've worked with or for in the past.  It's really quite interesting to see where people have ended up.  I look forward to using this website/tool in looking for the perfect job.  Check it out : http://www.linkedin.com/pub/kelly-smolzer/2a/820/b07

Snow What?

Kids were home today, this time it's the real deal.  About 5 inches and tonight it will be covered in freezing rain - no school tomorrow either.  At least it makes for some really pretty pictures!

Cookie Party Number 2!

How lucky can one girl get?  Today is the second cookie party I've been invited to.  The first one I made Spritz cookies, this one Fifi asked me to make Oatmeal Cookies.  My favorite recipe is the one on the Quaker Oats box.

Slacker!

Haven't been on here in quite some time.  Last Tuesday was my last church council meeting.  Kind of bittersweet.  It was not an easy 3 years but in the end, especially now that we are growing again, it feels like there's so much more to do!  The have a good bunch I think in the end it'll all be good. 

And...I'll try to post here a bit more.
